What do I want to get out of the UGTV06 talk? I want to see video formats that are different from the usual "funniest home videos". It’s hard to get away from the fact that video cameras are everywhere (included with most mobiles) but I can’t think of more than a handful of original formats that you can find online. Am I not looking hard enough? There’s people doing funny or stupid stuff and then what else. Rip offs of other poopular TV shows.

Screenshot087 One online format that does better than the original is the webcam lip sync. What’s going to replace American Idol as the world’s favourite format? GoogleIdol

Jonathan, Vincent and I will be attending the UGTV06 summit on 19th July to see what some people who are working in that field have to say and think.

UG content is something that we’ve been discussing for some time now, and in terms of advertising (above and beyond blogs) it’s (a) extremely interesting and, (b) very hard to get across as being a valuable way to work.  If you think about it, it’s so utterly alien to any real concept or advertising, marketing or PR that it’s not surprising it is a difficult thing to sell in.

Anyway, I am pretty sure we’ll blog about it after the event so we will let you know how it goes!

Thanks go to Andy Bell, MD of Bloombox for hooking us up with the tickets.  We’ll see you there!

Another day, another new blog to add to Technorati’s growing list!

The time has come for me to migrate my blog posts about digital marketing away from Hubmind and into a space where they are more appropriate.

As such, I’ve decided to shift over here to Adventures In Digital.  No doubt this will please the Hubminders who are surely tired of my moaning and going on about RSS and all that stuff!

hball.hubmind.net will still go - but it’ll be dedicated to bikes, boards and personal stuff.  I may do the odd cross-post if applicable, but generally i’ll try and keep them both seperate.

Don’t all shout “Thank God!” at once now :)

Anway, check out the new blog at http://digitalmarketing.typepad.com/adventures/.

Hi,

welcome to adventures in digital maketing. There will be 3 people posting there adventures and finds here. We all work together at an integrated marketing agency. There are three of us to ensure that you get more than one person’s perspective and a regularly updated blog. We felt the need to share what we are working on with a wider audience. I hope this will turn out to be more than a collection of links to cool new stuff and be a sactuary of more permanent analysis.
